Before leaving for France we rested up for a day in Zierikzee, a small town in Holland’s Zeeland province.  There, amidst the jumble of typical tourist cafes and overpriced dinner spots we found an excellent cafe / wine store named de Zeeuwse Hemel which had just opened two weeks ago.  In addition to making what I’m fairly confident is the best cappuccino in Holland, they also sold a wide range of reasonably priced wines, sandwiches and snacks, organic olive oil, honey, and veggies from a friend’s farm.  Why no one in San Francisco has thought of this I’m not sure but if this store was transplanted into the Mission it would do very, very well.
